Hi Guys! Today for Music Hurumanu we had to make simple sentences awesome. I enjoy doing this type of work, and I hope to do more of it in the future. So here are my sentences.
Sentence: He was singing
Aim: Make it awesome!
1. He was singing peacefully. - Adjective
2. Last night he was singing peacefully. - When
3. Last night he was singing under the stars. - Where
4. The other day he had heard his father singing the same song. - When
5. Last night he was singing under the stars while gazing at the moon because the moon reminded him of his mother. -Why
Conclusion
I really started to stress at the end because I couldn't figure out what to do for "Who". I guess I'm pretty happy with the work I've done but I could've definitely done better!
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 8 and in 2021 I will be a year 9. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Weird Powder...
Aim: To learn about the makeup of different white powders.
There are a number of different white powders in our everyday life. Some of these are harmful and others are not. Test the four white powders listed to see which one has been found at the airport.
Here are some examples of everyday kitchen white powders.
Flour, Cornflour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Icing Sugar, Tartaric Acid
Citric Acid, Gluten Free Flour
You will be given a small amount of 4 white powders on your cardboard. On the black cardboard using a magnifying glass look at the powders.
Look at them under your magnifying glass and record what you see.
1. Cornflour
2. Baking Soda
3. Salt
4. Sugar
Before you add the iodine, vinegar or water you will need to divide each powder into 3.
1. Black paper
2. Magnifying glass
3. Pencil
4. Ruler
5. Baking Soda
6. Sugar
7. Salt
8. Iodine
9. Water
10. Vinegar
Steps
1. Get your black piece of paper and draw for even squares with the help of a pencil and a ruler.
2. In each of the squares write down, Cornflour, Salt, Sugar, and Baking soda
3. In the 'Cornflour' square put Cornflour in.
4. In the 'Salt' square put Salt in and so on.
5. After the ingredients are in their correct squares get out some Water, Iodine (Be careful Iodine can stain), and Vinegar.
6. Split your Salt, Sugar, Cornflour and, Baking Soda into 3 groups.
7. In one of the piles add Water. Eg; 3 piles for each of the liquid.

Making Sherbet
Once you have completed your blog and cleaned up all your equipment you can make sherbet.
Using the following recipe you can make sherbet.

1 tsp of powdered drink crystals (eg refresh)
1/4 tsp citric acid
1/2 tsp icing sugar
1/4 tsp -baking soda.
Put all ingredients into a ziplock bag, stir, and enjoy.
Materials:

4. Powdered drink crystals (eg refresh)
5. Ziplock bag
Steps
1. Grab a ziplock bag
2. Grab the following ingredients: Citric Acid, Icing Sugar, Baking Soda, and Powdered drink crystals.
3. Pour the ingredients in the ziplock bag
4. Shake until fully mixed!

Conclusion
Both of these experiments were really fun! Making sherbet for Science? Dream come true! Because of the baking soda, the sherbet would bubble on your tongue. It was an icky feeling!
The white powders were different from each other. They all had a different reaction in one way or another. Some turned water and some turned into oobleck! I liked doing this experiment because of the different reactions!
