What are some of the good things about mosquitoes?

Mosquitoes are important because their larvae clean our water from slime and bacteria. They are food for fish and other animals likes, reptiles, bats, beetles, mantids and spiders. The mosquitoes also pollinate the native flowers here in New Zealand. If there were no mosquitoes we'd end up with dirty water, bad drinking water, hungry birds and geckoes.
