Science On A Thursday

Every week we do Science on a Thursday. We are mainly focusing on change. Change that happens in science when 2 reactants mix, when those two have been mixed in some kind of way you have a product.

My Summer Acrostic Poem

For Literacy we have been doing poems about 2 weeks ago we started to do Acrostic poems, out of my five that I wrote this one is my favorite. This is about Summer.

My Netball Poem

This is my Netball poem.
For literacy we have been writing types of poems. Every week a teacher introduces a new type of poem to us, some are hard and some are not. Last week we started writing Cinquain poems. Here is my Netball one.

I chose to do one about Netball because I play Netball every Friday we call it "Winter Sports"

Anthology

For the past 2-3  we have been write types of poems.
So far in my anthology I have 3 types of poems, limericks, acrostics and triplet poems and i'm currently working on a Cinquain poem.
All are quite challenging but the hardest for me were the Limericks.

Chemical Reaction - Elephant Toothpaste

Today for Science we did an experiment called Elephant Toothpaste.
This Google Drawing shows what we did.
The hardest part as usual was to make sure the labels go in the right place, like Product, Reactant.

Science

In Science we are learning about Changes.
Changes happens when we mix or combine two different reactants (substances) together. When this happens a chemical reaction takes place. Our teacher got four ingredients, baking soda, baking powder, water and vinegar. He mixed the baking soda and baking powder together..the  product was gas (Carbon Dioxide) . Then he mixed baking powder and vinegar and it made noises such as, fizzing and pooping.

Science - Change

I am starting to learn about Science and change. This is what I found out today. What new information can someone tell me?
