What crystals worked out best and why? Elisha Mae's crystal (Salt) worked out the best! Even though her crystals were formed on the stick and not the string.

After watching the videos as a class, explain how the following crystals are formed:

Explanation

Salt
|
Salt crystals are made by sea water. Then the salt water is put in the pond. When the sun comes out the water evaporates. Then you are left with salt.
Evaporate meaning : Liquid turns into gas.

Sugar
|
Sugar Cane is cut up and rolled into a thin line. Then they get the sugar cane and heat it up. The mixture turns into a sugary syrup. That is called crystallisation. Now you have sweet and dry sugar.
|
Snowflakes
|
Little particles of dust fly through the air with the help of a cold breeze. As soon as a rain droplet touches them they began to form a hexagon shape. The hexagon shape forms branches. The branches become longer and pointier as it gets closer and closer to land.

Conclusion
My crystal didn't turn out too well to be honest. Finding the proper shapes was the hardest part of all. I personally wouldn't like doing more of this work in the future.
